I have to say, coming here for the first time, IT WAS AMAZING!
The food here are pretty good comparing to majority of the smokehouses I have been to. The staff are really friendly. The interior is really retro and cute.
I ordered their pork ribs and it was really good for something that is reasonably priced as well.
I will be coming back to this smokehouse when I am in the area again for sure, so I recommend checking it out! -

My boyfriend and I ordered pulled pork sandwiches that came with a side of coleslaw and a side of our choice. We chose Mac n Cheese and collard greens. Overall the sandwiches were nothing special. The Mac n Cheese was pretty average. And the collard greens we didn't eat because we found a hair in them that wasn't ours.
This place looks much cooler on the outside than it is. There is a picture of Obama here and I really hope he was served better food than us. -

After living in the neighborhood for a few years, I finally stopped by this place. You are fooling yourself if you think this place is good. My lord. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and what I got was a pile of dry, bland meat piled on a sandwich. I could barely chew through the damn thing. Does Jimmy Dean make microwaveable brisket now? If so, that's what it was.
Sides were OK and they're a local restaurant so I'll add a star. -

Kenny's is a great neighborhood bbq joint. The staff is incredibly friendly, the new decor is great, the food is good, and it is reasonably priced. For two bbq platters, which each included two sides and a choice of cornbread or a dinner roll, the cost was $33.
We were a bit hesitant to come after new management took over because we actually liked the food at "old Kenny's" quite a bit. Good news -- it seemed to be the same great flavors, just is a significantly updated setting.
While we were big fans, there are a few areas for improvement. First, they were out of multiple choices. (Specifically, my #1 and #2 choices -- red beans and rice and fried pickle chips.) Second, I ordered the lean brisket. It was tasty, but this was literally the fattiest piece of brisket I've ever seen. I hope it was just a mistake. And finally, Diet Coke would be appreciated. -

Food: 4.5 Out of 5 stars
Ordered the pork ribs, Mac n Cheese, Greens, & Pork sliders. Everything was on point! The variety of bbq sauces only elevated everything! I literally tried every bbq they had and I loved the range they had.
Service: 4 Out of 5
I came on a slow day and the people we ordered from were nice.
